Dear Get Domestic Violence Help team,

First and foremost, I want to thank you for the amazing work you all do to promote awareness and safety for victims of domestic violence. One of the most important elements of domestic violence awareness is uniting the voices of those who have undergone abuse and giving abuse victims the strength to find their own voice and overcome their circumstances.

My name is Chris Ingrao, and I’m the community manager for SocialWork@Simmons, Simmons College Domestic Violence Campaign. I am reaching out to you because October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. As a school of social work, domestic abuse is a paramount focus for our students and professional alumni. That is why we are putting together a piece called “Stop the Violence and End the Silence” in honor of this month. We would love for you to be one of the leading voices in this piece by contributing a guest post or op-ed based on your expertise that incorporates a domestic violence awareness theme. This can include audio, videos, and other media to your liking. If you choose to join us, and we hope you do, please send it in by October 1st with an image of your organization’s logo and/or the expert’s photo.

By working together, we can shine a spotlight on this major problem and inspire people to get involved to help raise awareness around domestic abuse. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have additional questions or comments. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration!

In Solidarity,
Chris Ingrao
