Domestic Violence Story

I (who am a grown woman) experienced my father's violent temper from childhood until adulthood. My dad recently went on a tirade and warned me that he might threaten my safety again. When I was about 21 years old, he threatened my safety by slamming my body against the wall and trying to strangle me because he felt disrespected. Threatening my safety (for instance, bodyslamming, choking, beating, punching or striking a grown woman like me) is my father's right according to my father himself.

Strength and courage

I to grew up in a situation like this except it was my stepdad. He would do the same thing beat me and trow me around like a rag doll. As I grew up I and had kids the would still be obsessive over me and try to control my kids. I couldn't even take my kids to the park without his say so. Needless to say he is no longer in our lives. Sadly in order for me to do this I had to become the black sheep in the family. I had to move and cut out all contacts with my friends, siblings, family, even my mother. Even tho he abused my sister and my mother as well they refused to do anything about it, so I had to be the one to leave everything I knew behind. I hope my story helps you best of luck
